Recovering body image after betrayal involves addressing negative or distorted thoughts and feelings about one's body that may have arisen as a result of experiencing betrayal or infidelity in a relationship.
Betrayal can deeply affect one's self-esteem and self-worth, leading to feelings of shame, guilt, and inadequacy. These emotions can show up through negative self-talk and body image issues. In this breakout session we will address the root causes of these issues and develop a more positive and accepting relationship with one's physical self. Recovering body image after betrayal can be a challenging and complex process, but it can also be a transformative journey that leads to increased self-awareness, healing, and growth. Welcome to the "Fostering Healthy Rhythms of Discipleship" workshop, designed specifically for individuals within recovery communities. Throughout the workshop, we will explore two pivotal themes: Identity and Idolatry. We will discover that by understanding and embracing our God-given identity in Christ, we can begin to uncover the ways in which idolatry has taken root in our lives through addictions and misplaced affections. Recovery and restoration is so much more than simply ending bad behaviors; it is about embracing the rhythms of discipleship through restored identity and right-centered worship.
Join us on this discipleship journey as we explore how to foster healthy rhythms of discipleship inside our communities! |
